Nordic Growth acted as M&A advisor in the transaction whereby Sukkamestarit Oy was acquired by Aclima AS, a Norwegian wool specialist backed by Nalka.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Ylöjärvi, Sukkamestarit Oy is Finland’s largest sock manufacturer. Over the past years, the company has transformed from a traditional supermarket supplier into an international brand house focused on high-quality merino wool and technical socks. Its own brands include Sukkamestarit, UphillSport and TOEZZ Hockey, and the company sells its products to more than 20 countries. Sukkamestarit is the only NATIVA-certified sock factory in Europe. The company is also a framework supplier of military socks to the Danish Armed Forces.

Aclima is a Norwegian wool specialist founded in 1939, producing premium merino wool garments for military, professional and outdoor use. Aclima is part of Open Air Group, a Nalka-backed group of companies focusing on hunting, dog and outdoor products, with operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark and export sales to more than 50 countries.
The transaction brings together two companies built around high-quality wool, sustainability, responsible sourcing and a fully European value chain. Sukkamestarit adds in-house sock manufacturing and deep technical sock know-how to Aclima’s offering, while Aclima’s established professional and B2B sales network provides a strong platform for Sukkamestarit’s continued international growth. The combined business will have annual revenue of approximately EUR 50 million and over 180 employees. Production and brands will remain in Finland, with a target to grow output at the Ylöjärvi factory to three million pairs per year over the next years.
